So I got an invitation to speak at an Area Women's Convention on DRESSING FOR CHRISTIAN WIVES & SISTERS. Amongst other things and I started by saying the church is where somebody wearing a white powder condemns someone with a brown powder and someone wearing tight or shorts under her skirt condemns someone wearing trousers. Does it not look like just judging the other person when in actual sense you are not anything better.

I dwelt on the fact that we are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: I dwelt most importantly on the place of "royal priesthood" meaning we are kings (Royalty) and we combine it with Priesthood.

It makes sense to say that at any point in time kings and priests have been well respected people in any kingdom. Even if it were to be a kingdom of Naked people, the probability that the king is dressed is 90 Percent. Luke 7:25 they that are gorgeously apparelled and live delicately are in Kings courts.
With regards to Priests Exodus 28 gives us a clue in Verse 2 "and thou shall make holy garments for Aaron thy brother for glory and for beauty"

3 THINGS TO NOTE 1. Holy Garment- our dressing must be holy, it is holy if it advances te kingdom and does not encourage sin. Whether it be skirt or trousers, native or English, made of wool or cotton. Designer wear or a common "Taylor-loran (taylor-made) it must not be a devilish, sensual, slutty and adulterous wear. Proverbs 7:10 And, behold there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart. It is commonsensical to know what an Harlot's attire is. Priests and Kings must avoid it.

2. For Glory- the other key word that comes up in that Exodus 28 is GLORY. The Priestly garment and kingly garment must reveal glory. What is glory? It is the opposite of shame. Nakedness is an example of shame. WHatever you wear that reveals your nakedness is not for glory, it is shameful and unkingly. we don't want to see your 6 packs outside not to talk of your cleavages or laps. All those tight fitting tops and blouses that leaves the breast to no imagination do not glorify the Lord. Those skirts that you draw up every minute do not glorify the Lord. The interesting thing is that glory is attractive and shame is also attractive this similarity have caused many to lose it. A king/priest walking in the streets with his royal Garment is a big attraction. A prostitute walking the street in skimpies and rags is also attractive, the main difference is who each attract. Think about it.

3. For BEAUTY..some people can't actually believe that beauty is in the Bible. It's there men. God himself is decked in the beauty of His holiness but the devil is decked in the ugliness of his sinfulness. Friend! If it is not holy and giving glory to God, it cannot be beautiful. Simplicity is beautiful, moderation is beautiful, Holy stuffs are beautiful.

I hope with this few points of mine I have been able to convince you and not to confuse you that you can be Holy, Glorious and Beautiful!

Sisters shout Hallelujah!
